Make a Charitable Distribution from an IRA

A qualified charitable distributions (QCD) can satisfy all or part the amount of your required minimum distribution from your IRA. For example, if your 2022 required minimum distribution was $10,000, and you made a $4,000 qualified charitable distribution to NHWGA Charitable Foundation for 2022, you would have had to withdraw another $6,000 to satisfy your 2022 required minimum distribution. Under certain circumstances the QCD may be tax exempt.
